1. Who we are

Bandleep (bandleep.com) is a free online English language test preparation platform offering practice for IELTS and CELPIP. When this policy says "Bandleep", "we", "us", or "our", it refers to the operator of bandleep.com.

2. What data we collect

When you sign in with Google

Your Google account name
Your Google account email address
Your Google profile photo (displayed in the header)

We do not receive your Google password.

When you use practice modules

Your written responses (essays, emails, survey answers)
Your reading and listening answers
Your speaking recordings (processed for transcription, not stored as audio)
AI-generated scores and feedback tied to each submission
Word count, estimated band/CLB score, and timestamp of each session

When you subscribe (Pro plan)

Your Stripe customer ID and subscription status
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card details

Automatically collected data

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging

3. How we use your data

To authenticate you and maintain your session
To save your practice history and display it on your dashboard
To generate AI scoring and feedback for your submissions
To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe
To improve the platform and fix bugs

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following third parties to operate the service:

5. Data retention

Your practice history is stored until you delete it or close your account.
You can delete all your progress at any time from your Dashboard using the "Clear Progress" option.
If you request account deletion, we will remove all your personal data within 30 days. Email us at bandleepsupport@gmail.com to request this.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict how we process your data
Data portability (receive a copy of your data)

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded on this site.

8. Children

Bandleep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Bandleep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
